Ingredients

  • 8 ounces (225g) white chocolate, preferably baking chocolate
  • 3 ounces (85g) bittersweet chocolate, preferably baking chocolate
  • 34 candy eyes
  • 17 red candy balls/red mini m&m's
  • 17 mini pretzels

Instructions

  • Melt the chocolate using a double boiler method or in a microwave. Add chopped white chocolate into a heat-proof bowl (metal or ceramic). Pour boiling water into a medium pot. Place the bowl on top of the pot. The bowl shouldn’t touch the surface of the water. Cook over the lowest heat, stirring the chocolate from time to time until it is almost completely melted. Take the bowl off the pot and stir the chocolate with a spoon until it's completely melted.
  • Repeat the steps for bittersweet chocolate (in a separate bowl).
  • Pour the melted white chocolate on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Spread it with a spoon into a rectangle or square shape.
  • Spoon dollops of melted bittersweet chocolate on top - it should resemble reindeer's faces.
  • Cut pretzels in half (or break them) and arrange them in pairs slightly apart as antlers. Under the antlers place two candy eyes and one red candy as a nose.
  • Place in the refrigerator to set (about 1 hour).
  • Remove from the fridge and break into smaller pieces.
  • Enjoy!

Notes

  • You can also melt the chocolate in a microwave.
  • Don't leave them for too long at room temperature, they will become too soft. They keep quite well in the fridge. Store them in a closed container for up to 4-5 days.
  • Calories = 1 whole chocolate bark. This is only an estimate!
